Hello friends! I have created a facebook page for Antlerlash Productions. I am hoping to share even more content and full albums in the future, so feel free to check it out!
I also thought it would be a good way to connect with some of my tumblr followers who don’t have me as a friend on facebook.
Here it is:

An Afternoon at Abkhazi
I spent a recent afternoon at the lovely, peaceful Abkhazi garden in Victoria, BC. I’m really excited to be working on a few video projects with the Land Conservancy of BC- it’s inspiring and encourages me to spend more time shooting and editing video.
I tried to incorporate all aspects of the garden in this video- the flowers, ducks, turtles, landscapes, humans, insects, silence…
Molly and Murray, resident ducks, enjoy the garden with their young ones.
“The Abkhazi Garden is an exquisite heritage home and garden located in Victoria, British Columbia…Prince and Princess Abkhazi began creating their garden in 1946.”
The Abkhazis worked together on their creation for over 40 years, referring to it as “their child”. After their deaths the Garden changed hands, and in February 2000, The Land Conservancy purchased the property to save it from becoming a townhouse development.”

Check out the trailer for Signage, directed by Jonathan Raciunas (fellow Lithuanian) and starring Andrew Appelle (fellow Thunder Bay-ite?)
Signage premiered at TIFF Bell Lightbox a few weeks ago. It’s a comedy about guys who make signs.
My fellow Canadian filmmakers and artists:
As I read each party’s platform for the upcoming federal election, I’d like to share a few notes from the NDP party platform that may be of interest to you:
5.2 Ensuring canada’s arts and culture thrive
• We will promote the production and broadcast of Canadian content on Canadian television and in Canadian theatres, and will strongly support Canada’s performing arts, cultural institutions, and creators.
5.3 Building home-grown film and tv production
• We will ensure Canadian TV and telecom networks remain Canadian-owned by maintaining effective regulations on foreign ownership;
• We will re-focus the mandate of the CRTC to promote and protect Canadian cultural industries;
• We will provide sustained funding for the Canada Media Fund and Telefilm Canada, enhance federal film incentives and develop a targeted strategy for the promotion of domestic films in Canada;
• We will set license requirements for broadcasters based on clear, binding and enforced performance standards for broadcasters, including increased Canadian drama.
2.1 Reducing the small business tax rate
• We will reduce the small business tax rate from 11 per cent to nine per cent to support a sector of our economy that creates nearly half of all new jobs in Canada.
Read the rest of the platform HERE.
The federal election is on May 2, 2011. Please vote!

Our commercial has been entered into the “See What Could Be” contest for Acuvue contact lenses.
It’s a bit abstract for the contest but still- fingers crossed!
The spot was shot on 16mm. It premiered at TIFF Bell Lightbox this past week.
Enjoy!
